The Dung Quat 2 project spans over 280 hectares, situated adjacent to the Hoa Phat Dung Quat Iron and Steel Complex 1 in the Dung Quat Economic Zone, Binh Son District, Quang Ngai Province. It has a designed production capacity of 5.6 million tons of steel per year, including 4.6 million tons of hot rolled coil (HRC) and 1 million tons of special-grade steel. The total investment for the project is VND 85 trillion (approximately USD 3.5 billion), with VND 35 trillion financed through a syndicated loan from eight banks.
