Star Asia Officially Launches the First AHRI 880-Certified VAV Box “Starduct–Belimo” Made in Vietnam

Ho Chi Minh City, November 7, 2025 – Within the framework of HVACR Vietnam 2025 and Vietnam Energy Week, held at the Ho Chi Minh City International Exhibition Center from November 5–7, 2025, Star Asia JSC officially launched its Starduct–Belimo Variable Air Volume (VAV) Box – the first VAV product line manufactured in Vietnam to receive the global AHRI 880 certification.

A Landmark for Vietnam’s HVAC Industry

The launching ceremony took place at New World Saigon Hotel, gathering nearly 100 distinguished guests, including professors, PhDs, researchers, representatives from universities, design consultants, and major contractors in Vietnam and abroad. The event was held in an inspiring and joyful atmosphere, celebrating a proud moment for Vietnam’s HVAC community.

AHRI – The Global Benchmark of HVAC Quality

AHRI (Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute) is the world’s leading certification body for HVAC performance standards, headquartered in the United States. Its certification programs define the benchmark for efficiency, reliability, and safety of HVAC equipment globally.

The AHRI 880 certification is a prestigious international standard dedicated to Variable Air Volume (VAV) Terminal Units – devices that precisely control air volume and maintain comfort and energy balance in modern HVAC systems.
Products certified under AHRI 880 must pass rigorous laboratory testing in facilities accredited by AHRI to verify airflow accuracy, leakage rate, sound level, and performance efficiency.

The Starduct–Belimo VAV Box being officially certified and listed among only 57 brands worldwide marks a historic milestone for both Star Asia and the Vietnamese HVAC industry. This achievement positions Starduct–Belimo, Made in Vietnam, alongside long-established global HVAC brands, affirming Vietnam’s technical competence, manufacturing capability, and global integration ambition.

As part of the ceremony, Star Asia JSC presented the Starduct–Belimo VAV Box demonstration unit to the Department of Thermal Engineering and Refrigeration, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, as an educational training model for students. This meaningful gesture aims to strengthen the connection between industry and academia, offering HVAC students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with high-tech terminal products proudly made in Vietnam, and contributing to the development of future generations of HVAC engineers in the country.
